BLAKE SHELTON CELEBRATES RECENT CMT AWARD WIN WITH SPECIAL GUESTS AT WILDHORSE SALOON
Raising Over $31,000 For The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society -- Nashville, TN (June 11)
Last night, CMT Award winner Blake Shelton hosted his annual fan club party at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, Tenn. Every year there is a theme to the event. This year, his fans called all the shots - for the set list, that is. The sold-out crowd at the Wildhorse Saloon had complete control of Shelton's set list and fans were able to request what song he would perform. For every song Shelton didn't know, he would donate $20 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. His final tally at the end of the evening was $510. One special request was made by Miranda Lambert's mother, Beverly, who requested the Black Crowes song, "She Talks To Angels," telling the singer, "I have a $100 request. If you don't know it, you have to double the donation." After conferring with his band, Shelton performed an awe-dropping rendition of the Black Crowes hit.
Dancing With The Stars finalist and ESPN correspondent, Erin Andrews, was at the party and had a special song request as well. Andrews requested "Whiskey Bent And Hell Bound" by Hank Williams Jr. However, she told Shelton that she wanted Dierks Bentley to sing it instead. The crowd went wild as surprise guest, Dierks Bentley, then took the stage and performed her request. Other surprise guests were Laura Bell Bundy and Miranda Lambert who sang Tina Turner's "Proud Mary" together.
In all, Shelton's fan club raised over $31,000 for LLS that evening.

Beverly Lambert doesn't know blake very well if she did't know that he had already recorded "She Talks To Angels" with just him and a guitar in a studio.
