Most-added This Week at Country Radio with 110 Adds

Country music superstar Blake Shelton will bring “God’s Country” to the Las Vegas strip this Sunday for its television premiere on the 54th ACM Awards. The show will broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena at 8:00pm ET / delayed PT on CBS. Rolling Stone named the track one of the “10 Best Country and Americana Songs to Hear Now” describing it as “a Southern-rockin’ country stomper.” It debuted Top 25 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and No. 36 on the Mediabase Country Airplay chart with 110 radio adds right out of the gate, making it most-added upon impact at country radio. Written by Devin Dawson, Michael Hardy and Jordan Schmidt, “God’s Country” has sat atop the iTunes All-Genre Chart since release last Friday (3/29).

Shelton was recently named in Pollstar’s “Top 100 Tours in Q1” for his “Friends & Heroes 2019” tour, making it one of the only nine country tours to make the list. The Platinum-selling entertainer brought together artists that span the timeline of country music with Lauren Alaina, the Bellamy Brothers, John Anderson and Trace Adkins for the 18-date arena tour. The Buffalo News proclaimed that Shelton “brought his good ‘ole boy charm and musical chops… delivering without flaw what his fans came to see” and praised his “high energy, easy-going banter and good humor.” Shelton has returned to his coaching chair for the battle rounds of season 16 of NBC’s The Voice, with the live shows beginning later this month.

When not turning his chair on the small screen, the chart-topping entertainer continues to make his musical presence known. Shelton recently walked away with a GRAMMY nomination for his hit single “I Lived It” and an RIAA Gold certification for his 25th No. 1 single “I’ll Name The Dogs.” Both are off his most recent album Texoma Shore, which became his sixth record to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and marked his 11th all-genre Top 10. Shelton has been recognized for countless honors throughout his career including 20 ACM nominations and both the male and overall Video of the Year trophies at the 2018 CMT Awards. He recently added to his string of Ole Red entertainment restaurant venues, a partnership with Ryman Hospitality, with the opening of the Gatlinburg, TN location. This marks the third venue to open, joining the Nashville and Tishomingo, OK locations.
