BLAKE SHELTON RECEIVES ACM AWARD NOMINATION SAME DAY NEW ALBUM HILLBILLY BONE IS RELEASED

Blake Shelton was honored this morning when he garnered an Academy Of Country Music Award nomination in the Vocal Event Of The Year category for his fastest rising single of his career, “Hillbilly Bone,” featuring Trace Adkins. The single is the title track off the sixth album from Shelton, which was also released today. Shelton, with Reba McEntire, announced the “45th Annual ACM Award” nominations live on the “CBS Early Show” this morning.

“This is the best day of my life – I got to read the nominations with the ‘queen of country music,’ Reba,” said Shelton. “And, then I find out ‘Hillbilly Bone’ is nominated! I'm glad that my first nomination in years is with one of my great friends, Trace Adkins. The only thing that could make this day better is if Betty White was there to give me the award should I win!”

In addition to the comedic, sing-along duet with Trace Adkins, “Hillbilly Bone,” which is currently No. 4 on the Billboard chart and No. 3 on the Country Aircheck (Mediabase) chart, the new album will include five new tracks from Shelton. Hillbilly Bone is produced by Scott Hendricks.
