*UPDATE*

Well, I rarely come on here, and it's largely due to many of the reasons listed above! This board is so HARD to navigate and keep track of where threads are, etc.. that I've just given up as have many of our other, longstanding BS'ers! It's sad, as I was a frequent poster on the old board and miss being in touch as much with some of my friends!

Also, when is the godforsaken store going up??? Shouldn't have all of this stuff been done when the FC changed hands??? I'm predicting a drop off in renewals next year...

It's sad.

Last night I was thinking about the original Blake Shelton Fan club Message Board and how it was like visiting with my friends in my living room,
now on the new WB BS.com I feel like I am prison cell were we can't reach out to each other.
To bring this BSFC back to life we need to switch back to a phpBB board.
Please WB/Team BS listen to us now before you totally destroy what has meant so much to me and other BSers over the years.

A friendly spot to talk about Blake Shelton is what I found in 2001 now in 2009 you took it all away from me.

I am really having issues with the site as well. It is very difficult to navigate and getting through without having hours to spare is impossible. We have asked for a "mark all read" link and that hasn't happened. We have begged and pleaded for information about the BS store, we hear nothing. We have requested a better color coordination on the board to help from straining our eyes - it must fall on deaf ears.

I am really sad. I had a relatively short time on the old board (nearly one year) but I had a family there - Patti and Carol were amazing and very helpful. They cared about us and still managed to get things done and do so in a fair and honest manner. Now it feels like we have just been thrown to the wolves. I understand that taking over the fanclub was a move on the part of Blake to really get things moving up and quickly - but it's not happening. I am embarassed to tell people about becoming a BSer now because this forum is ridiculous. And I am sorry but when people are investing their money into something like this, they do deserve the opportunity to meet Blake - and if that isn't happening, why spend the money? Honestly if we still had the old board, I WOULD still spend the money because I would have a way to communicate and keep up to date about Blake, but now? There is no way to keep up - it's too darned confusing and time consuming.

To top it all off, to feel completely ignored is hurtful. We are good, loyal fans and we deserve the respect of ATLEAST a response. It may not always be what we want to hear, but we deserve it just the same. To feel like we are being cheated and possibly even lied to is really ridiculous as well. The event in Shawnee was not handled well and I am afraid it's left a bad taste in the mouths of many BSers.

What is going on Team BS? Can you not justify your actions (or lack thereof) with a response? Tell us what's going on - where's the store? Are the meet & greets always going to be handled this way? Is the format of the forum ever going to change??

I have stopped reading or posting over here because the board is so incredibly slow and difficult to navigate...it just is not user friendly in the least! I don't have the time or patience for that.

I still support Blake and stay in touch with a few BS friends via email but it makes me really sad to have lost such a wonderful community of people whose bond is Blake. I just can't imagine that the gain has been nearly as great as the loss. I will continue to be a fan but, as I read in some posts in this thread, there are fans being lost. This could have been a good thing but unfortunately has not turned out that way.

I totally agree with all the other post on this thread. I visisted the old forum several times a day.
This one is so hard to navigate. This may be my 10th time to even be logged in on this board.
I miss the emails you got when there was a response on a thread you posted on. The back button does not always work
so you have to scroll back to the top of the page to go to a different thread. It is very hard to read because of the
background color. you have to search through an entire thread to find out what you have read. Its just not
user friendly. I was planning on going to the Shawnee, Ok show but glad I didnt make it now since Ive heard
how the M&G was handled. In my opinion WB needs to take a few lessons from Carol and Patti.
I loved logging in on the old board and seeing the new post since you last logged in option. I could keep up.
I never felt like I was missing anything. Now when I sign on here I end up reading the same thing over and over because
I cant find where I left off. Usually it is so slow it takes forever to even read one thread much less all of them.
Sometimes it takes forever to even get logged in. It all just seems so unorganized to me.

I agree with all the comments made, and what's worse is it's at a time when Blake is REALLY taking off and this board does not compliment his success and is definitely not inviting. We receive news from BIGKHAN BEFORE TeamBS and the Store...that's beyond inexcusable (with no explanation to boot).

It's really sad that Loyal Bsers are unhappy and dissatisfied. Many come solely to vote and show support, but do not participate in any other topics (many not at all any more). Carol, Patti, Larry & Debi did a top notch job, always fair and precise. I only hope some major changes happen before we lose too many BSers. So if the charity is doing poorly compared to years past ...imagine next year!

I agree with all the above and want to add one trivial thing,you have a BSer and member thing but there are none of us listed,like i said its trivial but as BSers i think we have a right to be listed as that....

I Don't seem to comment much on here at all and the main reason is...I feel so lost on here. I get frustrated so quickly with how these threads work that I truly just give up. I may read a few then I have to go because it hurts the eyes and most of all....it doesn't feel at all like the Family we were on the old board. I miss that so much.
I'm so thankful that I keep in touch with a few Original BSers with phone calls and emails but I have lost touch with some other great ladies....if you see this "HI!!" I feel like I'm brand new on here and don't even know anyone! Its so strange and sad.

Our main reason to bring us together on here is Blake and to support him in everything he does, WB....where is a video for IJHO and why isn't the song moving up the chart like we all believed it would?? I was so excited when I heard this was his next single and believed 100% it was going to become another #1 for Blake. Doesn't he need promotion for this to happen? I will continue to do my best in my requests and voting like I know others are too..BUT WB I don't feel like Blake is getting what he deserves right now,he gives 100% to his fans and his songs, he deserves that recognition right back and to have a friendly,fun loving Forum- just like his personality would fit the boot so much better then this.

I think everyone is frustrated, and I totally understand. The board isn't
as user friendly as the old one. I am trying to get used to it too, and
I'm having some of the same issues that you are. But, I do think Team BS
is doing the best they can with this board. Most changes have to be
done by technicians and all they can do is ask them to try to make
these changes....they can't do it themselves.
As for the store, I don't know about it....but I have heard that there will
be a cool new shirt for the party that will go into the store after the
party. That will be something to look forward to for a while.
I guess it is ok to vent as long as you don't start a brawl.

You've all summed it up quite well--Many of us have been members for several years & I believe we all have every right to be upset. I don't spend much time here either..I feel so lost & I often wonder about other BS'ers who I haven't seen or heard from since the change over.
We have supported Blake in so many ways..whether it be by buying cd's/tickets, voting or just gushing about him to our friends.
We deserve better than this!
The phpBB board would be a great start to fixing things around here--I don't see why that is such an unreasonable request?
I don't care what WB or anyone else says..He is not being promoted as he should be. It's a shame that there's been no video for IJHO.
I personally do not need this board or to be a member of the fc to continue to support Blake Shelton. I hope to renew my membership for many years to come, but if things keep up as they are now..I can't promise that I will.

I could just quote every post here , well if we could do that here, because you all have said exactly how I feel.
Carol you are right, Blake does need all of us and he has lost a lot of us because of the way this board and fan club is being ran now.
All of us that are here pleading once again for something to be done are the one's that are still trying so hard to hang in here and wait for change, sadly there would be many more but they have already left or never managed to get in here in the first place.
There are just so many issues that need attention and I know it can't all be done at once, but I have not seen any change at all.
Imo, I think getting the board functional would be a great start.
If they are telling the technicians what the problems are and still nothing is getting fixed, maybe it is time for some new technicians?
I happen to know one and she says it's just not that difficult.
Then at least we could keep up and try our best to promote Blake, since it seems no one else is.
As it is right now, I would be ashamed to ask anyone to join the fan club. I used to tell everyone I came in contact with that the Blake Shelton fan club was the best one around, and I said that with pride, I can no longer say that.
Please Blake deserves better than this, his fans also deserve better.

Sorry guys I know it's it's a difficult forum to follow. I, myself, find it frustrating to not find "new posts" quickly. It is hard to navigate, read and follow -- especially when you only have a quick 10 minutes or so to check in. So I get it.

I think the problem lies with the fact that the member sections are all connected. To log in one is to log in to them all. So that makes it harder for them to just quickly drop one format for another. I know from talking to Team BS that they are frustrated as well. In the past, 2 people made the decision on what to do....so we could change something in a day if we needed to. Team BS has to go through a company of people, so it makes it a harder, more time consuming proposition to get a change made.

I truly hope that the forum can become a place that is easy to navigate, read, follow, meet up with your friends and keep on top of all things Blake. Sooner than later.

(ps -- whatever it is that is keeping the store from being up is a bummer. And I agree with you all that the store should have been ready for the switch before the switch occurred. Just keepin' it real. )

Connie, I am sorry to see you and so many "older" BSers so unhappy. So far I have not had a problem. I got my m and g in April, no prob. From what I have been reading, new people have been very happy, like the gal who won the recent contest and Blake took the initiative to come over and talk to her in Louisville. And others like Carol Anne in NJ are counting down to finally meeting him shortly. Hang in there! Like Carol said, Blake needs you.

I also agree with everyone else, i miss the 'connection' we all had with the old board...if it has to go thru that many people to get anything done, sounds like we are going to be in trouble. I used to check in numerous times a day, now only a couple, miss seeing the new posts and getting the emails saying someone posted to the topic, etc...sure hope it changes but i'm not holding my breath.

I think CC was actually "civil" in her post, considering. And I say "ditto" to what everyone else here has posted. CC, I'm glad you started this post instead of us just pretending like the elephant isn't in the room.

As far as "OLDER" goes put me at the top of the list age wise, also as a BSer who has always been here for Blake and will always be there for him.
We need Blake as much as he needs us, that can't & won't change.

My old eyes can't handle this black board but I come just to support Blake not because I enjoy this board, plus I wouldn't know if I had a PM because there is NO notification from Team BS.

BigKhan, I think if you hit edit on your acct and click active alert of messages or something like that it will give you a message alert. As far as the charity, I selfishly wanted the shirt and probably would have donated wherever to get it. But this is a great charity that he picked so I got what I wanted and also got to do some good! Hopefully next week will be a good week for the charity if there are going to be alot of last minute items going up!

I joined the fan club right after the switch over and to be honest I have many of the same complaints as everyone else. I hardly post because it's a pain in the rear end to find or do anything. I'm in college and the background and things even hurts my young eyes that look at computer screens all day everyday. I do religously come on and check the shop and a few areas of the forums daily but other than that it just takes too much time to do anything so I don't. I wish I had had the chance to get to know the family feeling of the old forums, something this forum kinda lacks. I am here for Blake, who should be getting much more credit then what he's getting now, but I wish it was easier to do anything on this new forum. I realize Team BS might have more people to go through to get stuff done but that doesn't excuse them from the lack of communication. The least that could be done is them say that they hear our complaints and that they are trying to get stuff done, but we don't even hear that.

I think most of ya'll won't like mostly what I have to say becuase usually I have negative things to say, but I loke sharing my side. I both agree and disagree with everyone's saying here. So, here goes.....

* I love Blake and will contiue to be a fan no matter what. And I think he has more say so then what people give him credit for. I know WB has the new site and what not, but why doesn't Blake know about some of this stuff? He's the important part of the equasion! And even if I don't get meet and greets, I'm okay just getting to see him, hear him or know how he's doing (thanks for updates everyone). * I don't want to play devil's advocate here, but with the old site, I think most of us (myself included) got used to the format and how easy it was and now may not want to take time to learn the shortcuts and how to work the new one. There are tabs ("new") that you can click to take you to new posts. The time, date, and hours are listed (with the last poster) for the posts. I don't like the colors either, but I think if we all took time to learn and read and post, we'd eventually get comfortable with this one. * I am completely upset also about the store. I click and check everyday but I wanted to get some things to have for fan fair when he's at the Hall but I guess that's not going to happen! So I agree 100% with that! * I am not sure if I understand what happended with the OK show and the meet and greets but I feel like cattle when I do get one anyway. I don't feel like I get to meet Blake, just pose for a photo.....and Kevin has never been nice to me. (thats just my experience though). Plus, with the old fan club, I've had issues with the aution for his charity. Last year I bid on tickets to fan fair, was told and it had been posted that I won the auction, then the following day was told that was NOT the case becuase the person in charge didn't check the email that had apparently been sent after mine. I thought it could have been handled alittle better ( I was sent a tshirt, and told I'd get an extra meet and greet if I could make it to a show)....I did ask for that meet and greet by the way and got denied! Maybe since that I have been alittle sour, but I think I have a right to have been. * I do miss the fan club newsletters and the christmas ornaments however.

I also think that on Music Row in Nashville it is a business and the people there are looking for the best interest of the business. Maybe there are more commercial artists that are being promoted or something (which really sucks) but I see it everyday living in Nashville!!!!

First let me tell you that I love Blake’s voice, I love Blake’s appearance, and I love his personality. I was not an active member on the old board, however, I did check in when I could and enjoyed the ease of using that particular board and the friendliness of the members. I will continue to support Blake!
I really don’t like to become involved in controversy but I feel this is warranted.

For newer members who did not participate on the old Board they have no idea the difference between the two boards. I have a fast hook up so that is no problem but finding posts and trying to read the printing on the black is very difficult for me so I don’t spend a lot of time on the board.

My guess is that if there is no video for I JHO by now there isn’t going to be one. Blake’s tour dates are very close together so time is now a factor. If his label and manager does not take the time to make a video for one of their best clients and are not taking the time to promote Blake I would say we all have a problem. Why do they not just make a video of Blake singing I JHO at a concert and show the enthusiasm of his fans? In this day and age a video is a given. You release a single then you also release a video.

When the video came out for She Wouldn’t Be Gone I saw snippets of that video along with advertising for where to buy the disc. Blake had wonderful television interviews along with magazine and newspaper reviews for SWBG. Why does this song not deserve the same. The entire album is number one material. If there is a problem with sales or getting it on the radio then his label and manager has the responsibility to promote, promote, promote.

When I JHO was released there was no doubt in my mind it would go to number one faster than most of Blake’s singles have. He had back to back number ones, was all over the media and we have to ask what happened.

In a down economy we can expect some slumps and the tours this summer will tell us how fans are affected by the economy.

As to the store, that is Blake’s gravy. We, the BSers, want Blake to succeed. We want I JHO to be number one! The question is: Are we the only ones who want him to succeed? I’m sure Blake felt he was doing the right thing by making changes so that his career would get a well deserved kick in the rear end. None of us knows what goes on behind closed doors and we don’t know that Blake can make the needed changes to get back on track. Something tells me that Blake can be very persuasive when he wants to be.

I read many times that fans requested I JHO from their radio stations only to be told as much as a month after the release date the station hadn’t received the song.

Our wonderful Blake has charted 15 singles from five albums, five #1’s, along with four gold’s and two other singles listed in the top 10 plus several in the top 20. He has videos that have gone over the top and we have to ask why we have hit a bump in the road. That is an excellent track record!

I may be a little prejudiced but I do not think it is Blake’s fault.

I think we all need to sit back and objectively analyze what has happened within the last year. Then we have to make the right connections, send the right emails, and enlighten those who need to be enlightened about how we feel and what we think can be done to improve, not only the board, but Blake’s career.

I also want to thank Bigkhan for all she does for the board and fans. She always comes up with new, accurate, information and, even though it is not her responsibility to post Blake news, we all appreciate it. If there was a fan contest for the best fan and Blake supporter it would be her! And, if I had anything to do with it the prize would be to spend personal time with Blake. (Ok, fine, I will chaperone them.)

Let’s come up with some positive things to do to eliminate the problems and I would love to hear Blake’s views on some of these issues. (I know he has nothing to do but entertain us and placate us. Even if all he says is “I thought it was the way to go, etc----I‘m sorry it is causing my fans so much stress.” Ultimately it is the fantastic, very talented, very loveable, and very fan oriented Blake Shelton that we support and promote.

Even with all the problems, I will always come to vote and catch up and show support, it's the only thing I can do, unfortunately...

Ok, since people have been asking about m and g fairness, and sorry, not meaning to make anyone sad like BigKhan since Blake's tour is not stopping near her so far, but I got an April one and now was just given a June one. And I notice Team BS posted a message this time for everyone to check their emails and updated the email as we requested to please make sure to cancel if you cannot use. Just fyi all!

I have to respond. I would be the person that you are talking about above. I'm sorry you had
an issue with an auction item for the charity. The amount on the charity page just didn't reflect
the final amount...but you didn't win the item. The free tshirt and offer of a M&G was meant to
make you feel better. When it came time to request that M&G, if you just requested it the regular
way with no reminder of the promise
and didn't get it because of the formula we used, that is possible. But, if you wrote me
and asked for a M&G that had been promised you, you WOULD have received it. Period!!!
Also...gotta take up for Kevin. He is a VERY nice guy who just follows the rules.

That's what I was thinking Becky. What does Blake know about any of this? Does Blake know how disappointed and unhappy we are about all these issues? I will always love, support and vote for Blake, but I feel I have "lost touch" with my BSer family. I wouldn't even think of not going on the old board every night, no matter how late it was, or how early I had to get up, but now, maybe 2-3 times a week I check in, get frustrated, and sign off right away. We are not happy fans. Blake should know that. Does he?

And where is our video for IJHO? We can't vote if there is nothing to vote for!!!! Something really wrong is going on here. It's got to stop!!!!! Blake deserves 1,000 times better WB. Where are you????

While I'm not offended either, I feel the need to respond. While I appreciate the abbreviated lesson you've given us, it's not as if we (I'm speaking largely for myself, the Connies and the members whom I know well) haven't TRIED to navigate this board and post and such...we have....it's like learning all over again everytime I come on to this board and things you are supposed to ENJOY, shouldn't be so HARD!!

Also, I think it was in poor taste to bring up issues you had last year in this thread. You should have emailed Carol and worked it out with her, privately.

I just think it's bizarre that Blake has so many people willing to work FOR FREE to help him and WBR doesn't seem to care.

Read over what everyone here is saying. I know that there are several BSers who are masters at online voting. We request Blake's music despite the fact that we already own the cd because we KNOW it will help him on the charts...and hopefully gain him more fans. We go to concerts, buy merchandise, post stuff on myspace and facebook, put bumper stickers on our vehicles...heck, some people even get tattoos!!!

This is all FREE publicity and we do it because we are FANS of a wonderful artist.

You'd think the company that SHOULD have his best interests in mind would care a little bit more than they seem to. I realize they can't/don't/never will care as much as WE do, but they could at least show that they hear what we're saying.

You guys give Willow and Carrie a break. They're just 2 people trying to do a job with the tools and staff they have to work with, just like many of us do every single day. Know how frustrated you get with your job? Imagine their frustration. It's not like the BSers are easy to deal with when you don't have years of history with them like Carol and Patti do.

I have always found them nice when I have emailed. I even emailed a quick thank you after my m and g email and they wrote back to say enjoy the show. They did not have to take the time to do that.

To be fair, I think the majority of complaints in this thread are with the higher-ups at WBR.

Hi, Emily, how's it going? I try to read on here every day, but the new requests don't actually take me to the new and by the time I sort through everything, then I'm not even interested too much, so I just go. Not complaining, just the facts.

I agree with all of you, I was on the other site all the time maybe 20 times a day, this one here maybe one or twice a week. It is very differnt and wish it would go back to the way it used to be. I am going to keep my membership going and will always support Blake and hope that one of these days warner brothers will get the site going like it should be. I don't uderstand why they took it over anyway, everything was good over there and easy. this one is so hard. I agree with all of you bser's on this and hope that warner brothers reads this and get thing's going right. But bser's we are here to support and love Blake. It will get better hopefully.
