Complaints on the Forum Design

Hey all! I have been reading some of the forums on here and I must say this is my first experience with a fan club. I joined the fan club right after it was taken over by Warner Brothers and never had the pleasure of experiencing the other one but from the sounds of it, the girls that ran it did a terrific job. My main reason for joining the fan club was to get discount tickets to a Pittsburgh show and to get a chance to meet Blake and I did both. I was surprised at the simplicity of it all but I understand that a fan club is more than that to some people. Some people come on here for companionship, to take a break in their day, and to forget about their problems for 15 minutes. Others come on here for a quick laugh and to post a thought or two but the main reason that we are all on here is to support the music of Blake Shelton.
There are some people that post forum topics and like to complain that it's Warner Brother's fault that the website sucks and I would say 75% of that is true; however, I must point out that about 25% of it's Blakes too. He's ultimately responsible for his image and the image that he wants to portray and I find it to be amazing that he can't take 5 minutes out of life to check his own forum out or get opinions about the navigation of his website. If he sees people on here that are not satisfied then it's up to him to fix it. People are making money off of him and taking their percentage off his bottom line and I know that if I were not satisfied with someone's work, I sure the hell would voice my concern just a bit. In the beginning it was probably warranted that there would be bugs with the forum and people would be unsatsified and time would improve it. However, I think now it's time for everyone to step up the the plate. Those people would include his overall WB team, himself, and the fans. If you are unsatisfied with his fan club, give him a letter the next time you meet him. Write emails to Warner Brothers or send him a tweet. Take it upon yourself to create more posting topics and reach out. It's not going to get done by one person. All in all, I don't think the "man" is in the dark about what's going on. Sooner or later it will come around. He will still make records and still play shows and it's up to you to decide if the $20 a year is worth it to you or not. It was for me.
Carol here.....and I think this new fan makes a point. If all you get from membership is an opportunity to get discounted tickets or early tickets and
an opportunity to meet Blake, it is well worth the small fee! Team BS gets frustrated with the board sometimes too....computers in general are a
love/hate relationship with most of us. I don't think anyone's complaint is with the team....it is the board itself. Also, as for Blake not being aware, I
know I rarely troubled him with anything going on in the forum. He has a busy schedule and he keeps his fans on top of things by twittering constantly when he has a few minutes on the bus, in an airport, or any situation when the opportunity arises.
Crazy Connie has started a thread for people who want to keep in touch with those they have become online friends with over the years.....great
idea!!!!!
Old fans....new fans.....Blake loves all of you!!!!

Carol- let me point out that the new thread is in the private section of the board, and that you must be a Fan Club member to view it.
Provie- sorry I don't know your name. I am so glad you posted a non-biased point of view. It's what we've been screaming for, for over 6 months now. Blake USED TO post to us in the old forum. He USED TO respond if he was still online when there was a response. Twitter didn't exist, or was not used by him, at that time. I've saved all of those posts from him, and it was awesome because he took time out to make us in the forum know that we are special.
This (the forum) is tedious to use. I would jump to the conclusion that there is a possibility that Blake might think the same thing, which is why he doesn't post. (but that would be putting words into his mouth) and... BUT! there is also the Twitter thing going on, which puts him in quick EASY contact with thousands of people at the flip of a switch.
I agree with you too, that if you were merely here to get a presale code or good seats, this would be awesome. But those of us that joined 7 or more years ago (in some cases) are sorely disappointed.
Again, I am very glad that you took time out of your day to make this post. You have nothing to gain or lose by doing so, and maybe an unbiased opinion will get the squeaky wheels greased.
And Carol, you are right- no one has a beef with "Team BS" (I don't know the names, they keep changing)- it's WB as a whole and their disinterest in what we had and what they are willing to give. It's.... BS!
I agree with all of you. I am one of those dedicated fans. I vote everywhere needed, have oodles of Blake stuff, have Blake stickers all over my rear windshield, wear Blake stuff & always talk about Blake wherever I go. I don't feel I complain, but say what's on my mind. WB does need to wake up and smell the roses. We can't do it all. Let's do what we can to make this board something Blake would be proud of, if that is possible
