Posting?

Unfortunately, the forum is still really slow which makes posting seem like more of a chore.

I still haven't encountered any problems with it being slow. With it being summer I am sure everyone has been pretty busy I know I have!

I'm still here with you Lori. Honestly, I've never had a problem with the slow speed as so many others have had. In the beginning yes, but not for a while now. And my father passed away a few weeks ago and I'm having a rough time with that, but I try to post something here and there. I would imagine a lot of people are busy with kids now also..vacations, etc. But there sure are a lot missing from the old board, that's for sure.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm pretty busy at times with my 12 hour shifts and life, but I try to check in and post. I thought there would be alot of posts after the fanclub party and figured i'd be behind in catching up on things. Right now i'm trying to make a photobook from this mypublisher website that my friend has used. I've never made a photobook and i'm too picky with my photos, and i'm not liking my photo's from the party I want them all to be perfect, and unfortunately on the night of the party I had left my good camera at the hotel the entire day (by complete accident). I think I got better photos of Miranda than Blake But i'm super excited because I do finally see a Louisiana date on Blake's schedule for August- but I don't know if I can get off of work for it being I didn't know about it till today I do hope more people start posting, but I suppose many are busy with the kiddo's being out of school. There isn't some secret Blake Messageboard that i'm being excluded from huh? Haha. Just odd seeing few posts. My computer is pretty crappy, but it doesn't seem to have trouble on Blake's website. I do have a local internet company (Eatel) and perhaps that is why.

I am trying to find some BSers that we have met in the past they were on the old board. Cebriz and Zoey the Fourth just wondering how they are. And maybe could meet up again. Thanks Linda & Dorothy

There is a members only forum here. Also, I think a lot of people might be
choosing to spend their time reading Blake's tweets...he has a LOT of followers.

It has been busy for me too, Lori.....but I do try to get by here once a day. I might not have time to read through everything....but I do try to get here once a day. I know Blake would probably like to see his board flourishing and full of posts about him and his music. I will try to do better, too.

It is probably not as fun for him if he has to type, gals. He has enough problems with the iphone spell check LOLLLL! Today's tweet was a classic, "I was not trying to spell Ducking. Love, Blake". Bahhhhhh!

Blake would have to Tweet for fans to know he posted on this board.
He does do the little video's that don't play well unless you use Mozilla Firefox though.

My guess is that fans are following his tweets. It probably gives them a sense of being closer to Blake if they can keep up with him every hour of every day.
And... it gives Blake satisfaction that he has the attention of other tweeters. So, as far as stopping by the board??? hmmmm
But we love ya anyway Blake! Wait a second, what was the question?? LOL

seems like since we all switch the this board then there is not that many people on here. and i have been going thought alot and that is why i have not been on here much.

It's not that it's not "fun" on here, it's just been busy lately for me. If I didn't like it here, I wouldn't come on... especially to just complain all the time. But that's just my opinion.

Hey Jess, I know you've been busy! We all have! I agree it's the constant complaining that take alot of the fun out of it ;(
Hopefully things will slow down and we'll be seeing more of the BS'ers here.

It's not necessarily constant complaining. I love Blake and vote and do all those things, but I have to admit, it is boring over here. I try to post to get other people to post, but that ain't working. We only want to support Blake and what's best for him, and I say this board should be hopping with excited people and all.

OK...I'm hopping with excitement but have just been busy. I'll try to hop in more often
with some positive comments. GAC is doing an hour show on Blake called Back Story.
I've been going through lots of old pictures and videos....nothing like visiting memory lane.
The biggest surprise was a video of Blake at 13 singing "Old Time Rock & Roll" before his
voice changed and he lost his baby fat. Very cute!!!

I'm sorry I missed the old board. It sounded like a lot of fun. I enjoy this one, though. I have joined A LOT of fan clubs just to take advantage of pre-sales, but have never taken advantage of using any message boards or anything. For the record, I joined this fan club just for Blake. I couldn't even take advantage of a pre-sale for my show. It's at a fair, and I dont think there was one. Cant wait to hopefully take advantage of meeting him, though since I choked on the first one.....

By the Way - Cant wait for Back Story...Any news on when?

Ummmm..Don't know...maybe everyone wasn't all that thrilled with the "party" since it was basically a concert instead...just my thoughts....Not much you can say about it...people spilling drinks all over you, packed in like sardines, not able to see over everyone's heads, etc...This board isn't nearly as user friendly as the old one either, which will definitely discourage some from posting. Guess I'll go to twitter.com now and see if Blake has tweeted today.

Patty/pg0831- the party was awesome, but I didn't have anything spilled on me, and was right at the stage & never got crammed into it- that was awesome.

I had a ball, and I loved being there with all my buddies, hanging out at the hotel- just all of it was magical. I'd never been to a breakfast one, so I have nothing to compare it to. Plus I can't have any complaints- Blake held my hand & sang Tight Fittin Jeans to me & wiggled his eyebrows. Nope, no complaints!

And I haven't been on here in over 4 weeks, apparently. that's what it said when I logged on. It's just not worth the battle to flip through pages. I still got my buds, so it's all good.

I didn't feel like I was packed in like a sardine, and I liked that it was an actual concert. I'd be disappointed if it weren't in a concert. I was actually kinda expecting more music to be played at my first party I went to in 2008 which was a breakfast one. Every party i've been to, has had a concert. I didn't have anything spilled on me, as I didn't drink anything while at the Wildhorse, but I didn't really feel like I was packed in like a sardine either- I've seen that at a local bar hear in Louisiana that was definitely violating firecode. Everyone in the fanclub just kinda feels like they deserve to be up front and close- and that's kinda impossible with so many of us, and I don't think there is anything wrong with each of us bringing a guest- I know I don't want to go alone with strangers, and I don't want to rely on another fanclub member for a ride, etc, and therefore I travel with a family member. Maybe they should just do away with the whole take your picture at the fanclub party VIP tickets, because it seems to just add alot of drama. I wasn't after one of those tickets- being I was trying to save money, and have met Blake a few times. (I donated to Blake's charity instead of going the VIP route). I think most everyone has met him in here. I haven't tried twittering yet, but I suppose that's what I need to learn, since that is what Blake knows how to do.

The party looked and sounded like so much fun.. Wish I could have gone. Next year..

It was a BLAST!! I loved the concert thing...but it was also my 1st party.

Blake's fan club parties are always fun! No doubt about that! The whole idea of the conert allows for a lot more music!!!! Which I think is AWESOME!!!!!!!! The more the merrier IMO!!! I am glad Blake went with the concert idea this year! I hope he continues to do so!

I agree that something needs to be done. I'm not sure what.
I think a lot of BSers like the personal feel of contact with Blake
on twitter but it doesn't get voting messages and updates to everyone.

I think the problem started with a very poor board and a lot of fans
got tired of the problems and didn't/don't put up with the problems
and then twitter came along---

I also think the personal contact with Carol, etc., was so good that
we lost a lot of "feelings" when they changed.

I'll send a message and hope a lot of others will too.

WB/Team BS cannot create a busy board. It is a two way street. People have to be willing to post. Just an observation, a new poster was excited enough to create a topic and post about Kinder yesterday and I am the only one who answered.
