It would be nice IF all the fan club members could be allowed early access into the building, the last time I went to the Party there wasn't so much chaos out front but then it was 6 a/m! Like Connie said maybe a back door access for BS'ers to lessen the confusion out front, give BS'ers time to mingle settle in, do a MG either VIP or in groups whatever and THEN allow for the GA peeps to enter the building.

I'd hate to see the MG's be done away with all together too, the group picture isn't all that bad, I thought it would be at first but hey it's better than no MG at all, and it'd fun organizing groups. Things like that can be done online her in the forum so Carol and Patti wouldn't have to mess with it ;)

Hey Lori that's a great idea if they decided to keep the party as a Concert format, early entrance for the BS'ers, group pictures for a MG (gotta sneak at least a MG in there) and then PARTY with the BS'er front and center!

It probably won't happen anyway but a reception beforehand would guarantee that the fan club members would already be in side and not have to fight with all the other people that will be there that aren't members of the fan club. I was just trying to think of a way to make the party feel more personal for the members. As it is now, it's the same as going to a concert.

Lori- OMG Carol has so much to do behind the scenes- why don't we take it upon ourselves to get together somewhere a few hours prior? I was late getting down to the picture session at the HeartBlake Hotel due to technical difficulties- that stunk because everyone had already introduced each other... we would definitely do it further ahead of the party this year!

It can be A LOT of fun to do as a forum, and like Jess said they're light hearted! The recognition could be something as simple as a certificate that is designed with the online name and signed by the Fan Club President to make it official! Just a little something! Nominations can be made here in the forum, and then there's a neat little program you can use online for surveys that tallys the votes confidentially. All votes submitted include the persons on line name and AN official email addy to keep it accurate.

Ann I am sorry to hear about all the captcha issues, but look at it this way, you're the front runner for that Award at this point. ;)

Carol, do you think it would be possible to have a small reception for the fan club members before the party/concert? It would be great for the fan club members to get together at one central location to say hello and meet one another.

Well it's simple Prez....just make Blake stay indefinitely....he can't have much else to do, right?? :P

I understand that. It's a fun thought, but I am sure it would be hard to make happen. We could always vote here on the board and figure out a neat way to honor the person who won in each category.

While awards would be a lot of fun the way we did parties in the past, I don't see how we could take
the time from a party like we had last year....and I bet this year too. :)

Yeah, it's a fun thing to do together, I think! And like I said, the more light-hearted and silly you make them, the better. :D And I agree, I don't think those who can't attend or aren't necessarily in the fan club should be discluded (I know that's not a word, but it should be. ;) )

Hold on Ann - I swear I was getting one EVERY SINGLE TIME I posted. And then after a few dozen, it would lock me out from posting. (KNOCKING ON WOOD AGAIN) now that I have posted regularly, it hasn't done it one time to me. Good luck :)

I still say the fan awards would be fun, but it's not something that has to be done, I guess. It was a neat idea and I think it's a nice way for the members to work together to give deserving prizes to our fellow BSers. We'll see what Team BS says and maybe go from there (assuming the fanclub party isn't over by the time they give you their answer ;))

Being at the fan club party would definitely not be a prerequisite. Right now this is just hypothetical anyway. Someone mentioned it and I thought it would be neat to have awards for the fans. I agree with Ronnie. It could just be people on the forum. As long as it's somebody that loves and supports Blake in whatever way they can!

I have sent a message to Team BS to find out who we need to talk to about doing this and I will hopefully hear back from them soon.

Also, if you think this is a bad idea for whatever reason, please post and share your reasons.

There have been winners who have not been present, AND there have been winners who've never even met Ran or even seen her in concert. One example being The Foreign Correspondent category, there's quite a few fans that inspite of never having seen her in concert or never having met a fellow fan for what ever reason, that work their tails off offering support, which is pretty awesome.[/color]

I don't think giving out awards at the party means the person receiving it HAS to be at the party. It just seems like the most logical time to do it since a lot of BSers [i]would[/i] be together. When else would so many gather in one place??

Some of us have medical issues that are expensive and prevent us from doing things we would like to do but can't do because of money issues.

I am beginning to think there should be an award for the "Most Captha'd Fan" or Captivating either way...
