Miranda Lambert
For all things that relate to Miranda.
I got my Miranda piece from the joint venture she's doing with Endy last weekend. Alan got it for me for my birthday. I love it!
And one last thing, I got my tickets for the Calf Fry Festival in Stillwater, OK on 4/30 today. I'm excited about that show because it's such a small venue and it will be one of the few chances I'll get to see Ran and the guys without having to pay the outrageous prices I'm having to pay for the Kenny Chesney tour.
I am indeed going. Are you and Dorothy going to make it, Linda?
@blakeshelton Blake I had a dream about you last night and I woke up completely unsatisfied. (via @RenaeDawn) Sorry.. I had a lot to drink....
Renae is going I think! We're not going to make it this year, and I hate missing it, it's a great show for an awesome price!
Anyone going to Tish ? We would love to go if anyone going keep us posted.......

ACM Story of Intest:
MIRANDA LAMBERT LAUNCHES MUTTNATION FOUNDATION
By Stephanie Rew
She may have made her mark as a 'crazy ex-girlfriend,' but country rocker Miranda Lambert sticks to her guns when it comes to standing up for man's best friend. A longtime supporter of animal rights, Lambert raised more than $120,000 for the Humane Society of East Texas earlier this year at her second annual 'Cause for the Paws' event held in Tyler, Texas.
"I've always been an animal lover and I used to volunteer and donate to my local shelter [HSET]," Lambert tells ACM Tempo. "But things really clicked for me when I adopted Delilah, my mutt, from that same shelter. She is such an amazing dog and has brought me so much happiness since I got her. I started thinking about the numbers of great dogs just sitting in shelters across the country and it inspired me to really help make a difference."
That inspiration came to fruition in the form of a wine tasting festival at Villa di Felicita, a Tuscan-style event center near Lambert's home town of Lindale. Featuring both a silent and live auction, food and wine tasting, a VIP private cocktail party for event sponsors and an intimate concert with performances by Lambert, Blake Shelton, Kasey Musgraves and Adam Hood, the fundraiser captured the true spirit of thinking globally and acting locally.
"My parents have a relationship with an amazing local vineyard and they've created wines using names or lyrics of my songs," says Lambert, whose family also owns Red 55 Winery in Lindale. "It's really been fun for the fans and also fun for my parents, so [the wine festival] just seemed like a really appropriate concept. The thing that I love about my fans is [that] they would support me if I hosted it at a fast food chain - they are just beyond supportive. I love the venue and the concept for Cause for the Paws, but I'm hoping that now with two successful years under our belt we can help take it to the next level and keep evolving it."
Having grown considerably since its inception last year (the first 'Paws' fundraiser raked in approximately $113,000 in 2008), Lambert's cause is definitely gaining ground and spreading to other communities as well. Her Oklahoma-based charity TAILS (Texoma Animal Improved Living Society) brought in some big bucks last February through another event at Murray State College that will be used to build an animal shelter in Tishomingo.
"I would love to keep having [Cause for the Paws] build," Lambert continues. "I am so grateful for everything that the venue, the community, my fans and my family have done to make it a success - but I am inspired to raise as much as possible, so if we can get more people out next year I see that as a positive. I think [the event itself] is always going to be intimate in the sense that we are all there to support the same cause."
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) reports that approximately 6 to 8 million cats and dogs are placed in shelters every year, with only 3 to 4 million being adopted. Currently, the United States has somewhere between 4,000 and 6,000 animal shelters throughout the country.
"I think one of the major challenges is raising awareness about spaying and neutering," Lambert notes. "I think a lot of progress has been made on that front, but I love helping raise funds for the community so that they can offer these services at a discount, or just make sure each community knows how important it is [for an owner] to fix their dog if they aren't planning to breed [it]. In Oklahoma, I found that there wasn't a facility to house abused or abandoned dogs and it makes you think about how many other communities out there don't even have a shelter, so I wanted to start locally and help get a facility to the Texoma area."
In southeastern Oklahoma, pet overpopulation is especially prevalent and roughly 60% of pets that are born wind up being unwanted. The HSUS estimates that shelters throughout the U.S. have to euthanize between 3 and 4 million cats and dogs every year - which does not account for the millions of stray pets abandoned on the streets.
"I decided to take it to another level and [started] MuttNation Foundation this summer," says Lambert. "[I want to] start raising more funds [through the foundation] that can assist with additional needs and increase pet adoption, encourage responsible pet guardianship, rehabilitate sick or unsocialized animals and fund spay/neuter programs in more places than just Texas and Oklahoma."
Whether fighting for a cause she believes in or pounding out hit songs like "Kerosene" and "Gunpowder & Lead," Lambert proves herself a force to be reckoned with when she gets fired up.
"I look forward to giving back and helping make a difference," she explains. "I think it really helps me keep balance and remember what is important in this world. I look at Delilah and she lives a very fun life and I feel good about it. If I can give other dogs or cats a second chance, I can sleep well knowing I helped out. Music is my passion, but this is as well and one of the best things about being a country musician is [that] you are part of a great community. Blake [Shelton] supports my efforts and I support his. Other folks in the business help me with silent auction items and I'm always interested in hearing about their causes and how I can help them."
Lambert's newest project, which released in late September, is the cutting-edge artist's third album and follows her ACM award-winning Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Given her progressive charitable efforts for animal rights and her blossoming music career, the collection's title, Revolution, could not have been more aptly chosen.
"Once the album was complete, we were bouncing around names and the word 'revolution' just kept coming up," concludes Lambert. "I feel like this record is revolutionary in the sense that I learned more about myself than I ever knew during the recording process. I pulled from so many of my influences and I think you can hear it - and most importantly, I really want people to see this as an entire collection. I didn't go in to cut singles or album cuts. I went in wanting it to be heard start to finish. I'm beyond excited!"
With a new record out and MuttNation on the rise, there are no bones about it - Miranda Lambert isn't shy of stirring up a revolution. And she's on the front lines.

Really like the video for " White Liar" I commented on Billboard that "Revolution " would be a great Christmas gift.....
I haven't taken Revolution out of my CD player since day one! I am loving this album! I smell a Album of the Year nom!!!!
In the mean time I hope Ran and Blake are enjoying there time off hunting!
Blake and Ran are meant to be toghther forever!!!!
It was a very memorable time! It would make an amazing DVD I agree!
[quote=Linda2494]Thanks great pics. Sure wish they would put it on video. Glad you had a grea time....[/quote]
There are tons of Ran Fans that love and adore Blake!
[quote=Celia6455]Ran..is the very reason I am a blake fan! The new cd is awesome ;)[/quote]
Love the video and also liked the Collections still wonder why Dead Flowers did not go.... Guess we will never know about the music business.....
Yes, Pearl, that is indeed Kevin. Behind Kevin is Jordan who is Miranda's "Kevin".
Nearly all of the audience members are Ran's band and crew plus Kevin - well the guys anyway, I think the girls were hired. The Maid of Honor is Ran's best friend from way back. Obviously we all know the preacher. That is Ran's dad giving her away and Ran's mom in the front row with him.
@blakeshelton Blake I had a dream about you last night and I woke up completely unsatisfied. (via @RenaeDawn) Sorry.. I had a lot to drink....
K, I came here for a confession... bear with me all you Ran fans. The story will come around to the good, I promise....
I've tried hard to like Miranda and/or her music... especially after I became a hugely obsessed Blake fan. Shouldn't I have to like Miranda's music if I like Blake so much? It's like Tim and Faith - dont you have to like both?
Anyway, I hoped that I would see her at the Sun City Carnival tour (8-1) , and like her more. Something about live music always makes me like the artist that much more.
She is starting to grow on me a little more. I LOVE Revolution. Love Maintain the Pain, and love Blake doing background 'screaming' as Miranda put it. I find I like the songs that I know Blake collaborated on too. Sin for a Sin and Love Story are great songs. I love The House that Built Me. Such a touching story to that song.
And after watching the video to White Liar, I like the song more. Guess I hadn't listened to the lyrics to the song before watching the video. Question for you.... Is that Blake's Kevin in the audience towards the end? I could swear to it, but have had people tell me no. He shows up behind Ran's spikey haired guitar guy. Somebody please tell me yes, that's him. It's driving me crazy!
:)

Hey there Jeanine welcome to both forums!!!! It's always great meeting another fan! You'll fine that Ran's forum is very supportive of Blake, you'll find a large Blake following over there and he's talked about very openly! Unfortunately that is
not the case over here, however WB was nice enough to give us this area to converse about both openly!!!!!!! Glad you joined
us!

I am very impressed with Blake and Ran's collaborations thus far!!! They're awesome together! The entire album is a keeper not one bad tune to be found. I smell a nom or two for this one!
Blake sings...or screams as Ran says...backup on the 5th track on Miranda's new album 'Revolution'. The track is called 'Maintain The Pain' and it's so easy to tell that's Blake even though he's rocking out. Who knew the boy could rock like that? It just lends credence to that fact that we all knew he could sing anything and make it sound like it's supposed to be a Blake Shelton song.
also Blake co-wrote 'Sin For A Sin' with Miranda on this album (as well as a couple of other tracks). 'Sin For A Sin' is aBSolutely fabulous.

Miranda on David Letterman tonight........
Love the pictures ran puts on real good shows and her and blake are great together
Blakes#1fan. Blake is my one hot mess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am melting for shelton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks great pics. Sure wish they would put it on video. Glad you had a grea time....
TOTALLY AMAZING!!!!! Ran's concert at the Ryman was unforgetable! She did the entire album in sequence! I can't wait for it's release on Tuesday! I am also excited that Blake co-wrote 3 of the songs on this album! They are both growing by leaps and bounds professionally! After Ran delivered the album, she went on to sing Merle's "The Way I Am", and she sang a few of her
other songs like GunPowder and Lead, Crazy Ex Girlfriend,Famous in a Small Town, New Strings, Kerosene AND she did an amazing rendition of Crazy, stepping away from the mike at one point and her voice just carried so beautifully and brought the house down with yet another standing ovation! The after party was held at The Stage and the party went well into the night/early morning! Revolution Rocks!
Here are some pics:
Revolution.......... Come on Tuesday........
Watch out Nashville the Revolution begins NOW!
[quote=Linda2494]I just want to share we were at the Corn palace in Mitchell SD on Wed the 26th. Blake was awesome he was just singing his heart out. He was singing Home and Miranda walked out the crowd was yelling and clapping. She looked so cute, they sang so good. She had on black heels that were so cute something I would love to wear when I was younger. The crowd loved when she sang Kerosene and then with Blake when he sang Old Red. This was the fourth time we have seen her this year. She really was a smiling and then so was Blake......:) We still really like Dead Flowers :( [/quote]
I love seeing those two on stage together! Ran's got great taste in shoes! She's been wearing some killer shoes lately just ask the beach balls
Pearl, I don't know if Miranda was going back right away or not. She sang Home and Old Red with Blake, Kerosene she did alone it was great. Have a great time at the show let us know about it all. Nobody but Blake :) Those shoes were pretty cool. She looked really cute....
Linda,
So, when Miranda shows up at his shows, she sings some of her music, too? How many songs? That's pretty cool. We are hopin' she'll show up at our show this coming Tuesday. She has a show Sunday the 30th, then not another show until she performs with Blake on the 6th.... She was just in town with the big Kenny Carnival production, but I was hoping to see her in a smaller venue like our little fair!! Hmmm.....
Yeah, Miranda had twittered a picture of those shoes. I dont think I could walk in those things!!
Glad you got a chance to see her.
