James is on his way to Lorain Co. College (OH) in two weeks , with LONESTAR former lead Richie McDonald and Dancing with the Stars Chuck Wicks.

Can't wait...It's going to be a great show!

Had to stop by and say..went to James Otto concert tonite. He is AWESOME in concert - Man! In Color was awesome. He sang a ROnnie Milsap song 'There aint no gettin' over me' Now, I understand why, if he wrote with him recently.

Warner/Chappell Music, the global publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has announced a worldwide publishing agreement with Warner Bros. Records artist James Otto, Song of the Year winner at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards and a two-time 2008 Grammy Award nominee. Under the agreement, Warner/Chappell Music will co-publish and administer the majority of Otto’s catalog of work including songs from his breakthrough sophomore album, Sunset Man, as well as his future compositions.

Otto won the Academy of Country Music’s Song of the Year award for “In Color,” which also earned him a second Grammy nomination for Best Country Song. In addition, the singer/songwriter earned a 2008 Grammy Award nomination for “Best Male Country Vocal Performance” for “Just Started Lovin’ You,” his first No. 1.

“James is a tremendously talented artist with a unique voice to complement his stellar songwriting skills and exciting performances,” said Tracy Gershon, Senior Vice President and Head of A&R, Nashville, Warner/Chappell Music. “With his artistic vision and Warner/Chappell’s support and expertise, I’m confident that this is only the beginning for James and that he will be a staple songwriter and artist in the country music world for years to come.”

The only time I've been to the Opry, James Otto sang a few songs. He's SO GOOD live. There are some voices that just can't be fully captured on CD and his is one of those voices. Love him. I know I've said it before, but his strong voice reminds me of a local guy some of you may have heard of - Marc Broussard. Blake's choir did one of Marc's songs, "Home," on Clash of the Choirs.

Hey, guys, Vonna did the nicest thing, she got James to autograph a CD to me and mailed it to me! It is a must have for your collection! I was so shocked and excited because I had listed that CD for Chris to get me to listen to while I do chemo! Vonna didn't know she made me cry! And now Otto is still in my CD and Chris says :Tell Vonna I am an OTTO fan now also! Awesome, thanks again Vonna and James~

I saw James in November when he opened for Alan Jackson and Trace Adkins. When he started singing I thought.....hey
I know this guy and like him! Saw him on CMT Cribs too

For all you Otto fans that live within driving distance of Lynchburg,VA...he will be at Cattle Annies 4/11/09. If you are a fan this is a great place for a concert. It is small and intimate so you can get close up to the artist. Tickets are only $15.

Awww Donna, I just saw your post! How sweet he is, isn't he! I can tell you the two shows he did here in Indiana were SOLD OUT and he got such an amazing response from everyone! Can't believe over 6 years ago it was hard for me and Michelle to get anyone to listen to us when we talked about him! Crazy! I am SO thrilled y'all love him, and he does appreciate your support so much!!

In my post up above, I also said he reminded me of Bob Seger. I got to meet him when he opened for Blake last year.
I got the same impression...big sweet teddy bear! :)

I got to see the Ottoshow last night and got to finally meet James!
I tell you it was an awesome show! My two daughters went with me and we had a great time.
James was so sweet at the meet & greet, he is just a big Teddy bear.
He has such an amazing range, I think he can sing anything, I love the growl, reminds me of Conway and Bob Seger.
He mentioned Blake because it was in Oklahoma and he was naming all the great artists out of Okla.
He also told me in the m&g that he loves that all of us Blake fans have found him. I said it is because of Vonna and he said he knows and loves her.

VooDoo, my buddy ol pal- where is James going to be during Fan Fair (yeah CMA whatever) and ya gotta hook up your bestest BSin' Ottomaniacs, ok??? shoot me some emails on details, would ya? thank you! :-P

I saw the OTTOMAN last year he was AWESOME can't wait to see him again.

Buford loves Otto and so does his Mama!
I saw him last month with Trace and he was great! If I get healthy enough to go we will see him this weekend in K.C.
