Thank you! I love cake decorating and I'm obsessed with "food" cakes right now. I also did a mac & cheese, tacos, a hamburger, strawberry pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, pecan pancakes and stuffed bell peppers (you won't believe them). I think I will do a meatloaf next. I thought about putting the pictures on here to share, but wasn't sure if I should. But then again, the topic is "Just for Fun!" Right??
Thanks, everybody! I really appreciate all the compliments. I have a few more crazy things up my sleeve to have on Mother's Day. I'll have to let you know how they all work out.
I appreciate the compliments. Thanks everybody! I enjoy decorating cakes and wanted to do a spaghetti cake for a while now. As for how I did it, Michelle... I baked a cake in a casserole dish. I piped ivory colored buttercream icing with a round tip all over for the "noodles". For the "meatballs", I melted some marshmallow cream in the microwave and added some chocolate chips for color. It wasn't brown enough so I added some brown icing coloring them added crumbled pound cake and a few chocolate rice krispies to get the mixture to hold its shape. I then froze them. The "sauce" is pureed strawberries. I also added some grated white chocolate on top for the "cheese", but that wasn't in this picture. It was really good and nobody could believe it was indeed a cake! This is a great cake to have for dessert when you are having spaghetti for dinner and it's so easy to make. Y'all should try it!
