Blake on Saturday

Pictures from the California State Fair on Saturday. The M&G was great. Kevin came by on his way to get Blake and gave several of us hugs. Then a couple minutes later, he walked back by with Blake. Blake stopped and hugged someone in line a few people in front of me-we found out later she was Jennifer Adan, who wrote She Wouldn't Be Gone. Blake gave her a shout-out during the show, and we chatted with her briefly afterwards-told her how much we liked the song. I'd spent the morning baking cookies for the guys, and gave them to Blake at the M&G. He said he loved me, and then gave me a hug. Kevin took our picture, (man, I love it when he squeezes you tight for the picture...lol) and then I showed Blake the picture I'd printed from South Dakota, which is the second link below. This was right across the street from the hotel I stayed at when I saw him in Mitchell. I thought it was hilarious, especially because of the whole PETA thing. It totally made him laugh.

The show was fun-although not nearly long enough. (he only played a little over an hour) He didn't sing Goodbye Time, which I really missed, but it was just great to see and hear him again. The place was packed-I couldn't believe how many people were there. I heard a lot of really nice comments about Blake from people who saw the Blake shirt I was wearing.

I included some Miranda and Blake pics for you Miranda fans. I really like #20, where Blake has his head on her shoulder. Would have been better, though, if the idiot security guard hadn't stuck his head in the middle of it. Enjoy!
