Blake and Ran planning charity Valentine’s concert in Tishomingo
Please don't take this the wrong way... I'm posting it because it's BLAKE'S and RAN'S baby... and I think there may be a few BS'ers who would like to go.

Oklahoma country music stars Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton will again play a Valentine’s Day benefit event in Tishomingo.
The couple, who live on neighboring Tishomingo farms, will be the main attraction at the Feb. 11 event at the Murray State College campus in Tishomingo, according to www.mirandalambert.com.
Mutt Nation Foundation and Murray State College will present a Valentine’s charity dinner followed by the concert, which also will feature special guest Clancy Davis. The dinner and concert will benefit the Texoma Animal Improved Living Society (or TAILS), Lambert’s Oklahoma-based animal welfare effort, and area veteran’s groups as well as other local needs.
Tickets are on sale now and cost $35 to $75. Dinner tickets are $35 for singles and $70 for couples.

Last year’s event packed the house and raised $70,000 to build an animal shelter in the community.
In addition, Lambert and Justin Moore will open Friday night for Brad Paisley when his “American Saturday Night” tour comes to Oklahoma City’s Ford Center. I’ll have more information on that show here on the blog Wednesday.
Hmmm - this would be a fun event to be at. The killer is that I am leaving on February 14th to drive home to Michigan for Brody's surgery and we are GOING THROUGH Oklahoma. If we were leaving a few days earlier - I might make a detour!!!

I am lucky enough to get to go to both shows mentioned in that article.
The TAILS event last year was amazing. Just Blake and Ran and their guitars for 2 hours. FANTASTIC! The banter between them will have you rolling in the aisles and it didn't seem to matter to Blake that it was an all ages show. His quip to Ran about "Great, now I'm not gonna be able to stand up for a few minutes." when she absolutely nailed Merle Haggard's 'The Way I Am' was worth the price of admission by itself.
I'm so proud of both of them and how they still are just who they always were and are always willing to pick up a guitar and do what they can for whatever causes they believe in.
I'm hoping desperately for a M&G so I can get my new guitar signed by both of them. *fingers crossed*
