Daddy’s are the cowboys on earth, who lead the paths for their young bucks, showing them how to saddle up, and ride through life without failing or falling off, teaching them right from wrong, to stand tall, and be proud of who you are.
So, when the day come, God called home the best cowboy I ever knew even though it hurts like hell, and I miss my old man more than life itself, I can smile now, when I stand by his headstone , and I sing this goodbye song to him, hoping it echoes through the Lord’s kingdom, every time I strum the strings to my guitar.
Because, every son of a good cowboy knows, eventually God comes and walks along the shores of life calling his cowboys one by one to saddle up and head back home to stand heaven strong … Silhouettes’ of white horses gallop in the shadows of the moon, a place where the spirits of cowboys ride on.
Yeah, the best cowboys stand heaven strong, so ride on daddy… ride on… I know your looking down on me from God’s windows sipping on angel salt whiskey in a horizon unknown, under a different sun setting the spotlight on the scenes of a new western, where the spirits of cowboys live on boot scooting on heavens floors talking about the good old days and still counting old blessings like priceless coins.
I just hope my daddy knows that his memory dwells picture perfect on the walls of my heart, and I hope he’s looking out God’s windows sipping on his angel salt whiskey proud of the man I’ve become, because there comes a time we have to let go, every son of a cowboy knows even though it hurts like hell, eventually God comes and walks along the shores of life calling his cowboys one by one to saddle up and head back home to stand heaven strong. Dear Lord, I hope, when I stand by my old man’s headstone singing this goodbye song, that he’s looking out of God’s windows proud of the man I have become, and that he knows his son understands, that when the lord calls good old country boys home, they have to saddle up like a true cowboys does, and serve as soldier’s in God’s kingdom…. AMAZING!! This song has been such a HUGE part of my life right now. My husband has not been able to come home since February :( this is our SONG.....He will be home in 42 days :) we are planning a vow renewal next May and this will for sure be our song......Lovin' me some Blake more and more everyday!! Can't wait to see the whole video :)

The tease you all just gave with this is beautiful. I love it, the song itself is very powerful, Blake has a way with his facial expressions in his videos that really sell you the story behind the music. I love it! Most of his videos seem very heart felt which is what the fans are looking for. I just love Blake and his honesty! Wonderful person who knows when his jokes are appropriate and when to be really humble....LOVE the trailer!!
